December 15, 2025
This year, the calendar was filled with conferences, expos and events designed to bring the dental community together. And we have to say, we loved every minute of being in rooms filled with students, educators, experienced clinicians and industry professionals to talk new ideas, new technologies and more. The energy at each event was outstanding and reflected our collective commitment to learning, collaboration and progression.
At One Dental, we’re not only your premier providers of dental tools, instruments and simulation training products for education and private practice, we’re also part of the wider oral health landscape. And we’re excited to share our 2025 wrap-up with you as we start to reflect on what’s ahead in the new year.
But before we dive in, we’d like to acknowledge a special moment from June, when our Founder, Joanne Stanbury, and our General Manager, Kelli, were recognised by the ADA for more than 30 years of service to the profession. It’s an incredible milestone and a true reflection of their long-standing dedication to the field.
The Australian Dental Congress in Perth was a standout event for us in 2025. It featured national and international keynote speakers, workshops, and spectacular social events. With thousands of clinicians attending over the three days, we were pleased with a steady stream of visitors eager to visit our booth to explore new tools, instruments, and simulation products, as well as discuss innovative ideas.
We were also pleased to exhibit with our TelScope Systems, technology that attracted strong interest from professionals looking to integrate smarter imaging into patient care. ADC consistently attracts a highly engaged clinical audience, and this year’s enthusiasm for tech-enhanced practices and future-focused solutions made it a truly impactful event.
One of the biggest events of the year, the OHAA Oral Health Congress gave us a few great days on the Gold Coast connecting with oral health therapists, hygienists and educators. The focus on collaboration, professional development and shared learning was as refreshing as the setting. We left feeling energised after heartfelt conversations, reconnecting with familiar faces and meeting some wonderful new people. As an inaugural event, it set a strong foundation for the future, and we look forward to being part of it again. Congratulations once more to the award winners.
Back to the sunshine state for Converge 2025 in Brisbane, and it was another meaningful stop on the conference calendar. We were able to connect with clinicians, support ongoing learning and stay close to the ideas shaping the future of oral health in Australia and around the world.
Events like this remind us why we do what we do. The conversations, insights and enthusiasm shared throughout the experience really showed the appetite our industry has for innovation and how we’re collectively committed to ushering in the next chapter.
Another chance to connect with colleagues, the OHV Event in Melbourne brought together oral health professionals ready to share ideas and explore better ways to support patients. It was a practical, hands-on day that encouraged open conversation and real collaboration. We left Melbourne with a strong sense of purpose and a reminder of how much we enjoy being part of these discussions.
It was a privilege to attend the Oral Health Industry Expo at the University of Newcastle and spend time with the next generation of dental professionals. As a company committed to creating the best possible products for dental education, this event felt especially meaningful because it reflects the heart of what we do and what we value.
We had some really thoughtful conversations with final-year students about simulation, instruments and the future of dentistry and oral health. Their curiosity and ambition were infectious.
Across 2025, we took our Atraumatic Extraction and Local Anaesthesia CPD courses on the road, delivering more than eight sessions around Australia. These courses were about more than skills and technique. They created space for mentoring, shared learning and genuine connection. Supporting oral health professionals in person, city by city, reminded us how powerful hands-on education can be and how easily professional relationships can grow into lasting friendships.
The 2025 COHA gathering offered one final chance this year to build connections, support professional development and strengthen oral health education. It also marked the second presentation of the Dean’s Award, which Joanne and Kelli were proud to be in attendance for. This Award is in honour of Dean Stanbury and recognises a quiet achiever in dental education:
“This award is in memory and recognition of Dean Stanbury and his contributions and dedication to innovation in dental education at One Dental. One Dental has supported COHA since its inception. This award celebrates an individual whose efforts, achievements, or contributions have been impactful yet remain largely unrecognised. This award seeks to shine a spotlight on those who consistently go above and beyond without seeking personal recognition or reward.”
Conferences are more than social and educational events, though they are perfect for keeping us connected with our fellow oral health professionals. Most notably, across every event, the common themes were always collaboration, innovation, education and a genuine desire to move forward.
“For me, the biggest takeaway from 2025 was the renewed focus on practical, high-quality tools, training and ongoing innovation. Attending conferences, expos and other events reinforced our mission to support dental education in every way we can and to keep strengthening our partnerships. We’re looking forward to another big year in 2026.” – Joanne Stanbury
